Software for SVP hardware such as AML,Valeport etc has the ability to export out a vel file. IF the project is in feet the exported vel file has to be brought into svp editor ONE AT A TIME and the depth has to be converted to feet but the velocity is auto-converted to ft/s. IF the vel file is brought directly into MB/SB max the velocity is converted to ft/s but the depth is not. This makes it possible to incorrectly apply the SV corrections to the data. We need a fix for this issue. I propose that we accept all vel files in meters and do the conversion in the background. Bringing in and converting files individually is time-consuming and prone to errors and not all profilers can export feet
