The Kronos video website supports the post-inspection review and marking up of robotics, inspection video by the video review team in Manila. If we are going to continue to markup inspection in the field, we should consider performing that markup electronically so that it can be used with the website deliverables and implement the markup import into Pipe Vision to provide analysis access to it. This would speed and improve development while allowing for quick review off the pipeline through the website and markup pipe lists and Word documents with images to be downloaded from the website.
Talking to Jason Purkiss, updating the field software to take electronic notes would allow them to quickly mark joints in the field
Components would include:
Updating the in-field software to allow for markup that creates electronic logs ($15K), along with a button to mark joints
Updating the Storky file upload to recognize the electronic files and importing them into the database ($5K)
Updating Pipe Vision to import the markup along with the video to guide them with their analysis ($15K) This does not need to be done to see a benefit, because just exporting a pipe list from the website would be immediately useful
Note that importing markup, on it's own, would be a helpful feature for analysis, and I'd recommend doing it on its own.
Benefit is estimated:
5 hours/project in analysis efficiencies, coming from an analysis survey
PMs able to quickly review the video from the website and provide images to the client
The ability to extract video snippets of joints and features
